QLD:Man admits to killing and torching woman

A man has pleaded guilty to stabbing a woman to death .. then torching her Gold Coast unit.

51-year-old PETER PAPAS from Robina has entered guilty pleas to charges of murder and
arson .. on what was supposed to be the first day of his trial in the Supreme Court in
Brisbane.

He's been in custody since June 8 .. 2006 .. the day after 32-year-old Korean national
SO RA MOON was found dead in a burnt-out Broadbeach unit.

She'd been stabbed 24 times.

PAPAS will be sentenced this afternoon ... the charge of murder carries an automatic
life sentence in Queensland.
