QLD: Scully Power resigns as Bond University chancellor

GOLD COAST, Aug 6 AAP - New work commitments have forced Bond University chancellor Paul
Scully-Power to stand down, the university said today.

Bond vice-chancellor Ken Moores said Dr Scully-Power's new job as chairman of the Civil
Aviation Safety Authority had placed an increasing demand on his time.

"We have been extremely fortunate to have had the benefit of his guidance for the past two
years during which time he has played an invaluable role in leading the university and its
community into an era of stability and growth," Prof Moores said in a statement.

Deputy chancellor Imelda Roche has accepted the interim role of acting chancellor.
